dc.description.abstract This paper analyzes the role of pension scheme size on the adoption of risk management by pension schemes. The analysis in this study constitutes a review of literature on the influence of pension scheme size on adoption of risk management. The study examined four drivers of risk management: The risk management appetite and size of pension scheme in terms of members, value of assets and member types. There exists conflicting results in as to the influence of pension scheme on adoption of risk management. This paper thus recommends empirical studies in developing economies to test if the trend. en_US
