Abstract:
The Centre for Executive and Entrepreneurial Development saw a total of 107 people graduate on 31st October 2013 from 3 different courses all taught at the Chandaria School of Business. The courses include the 10,000 Women Certificate Program for Women Entrepreneurs, Certificate in Innovation and Management in Agribusiness and Executive Diploma in Industrial Relations with 56, 36 and 17 graduates respectively.
With Agriculture as the backbone of Kenya, the Innovation and Management in Agribusiness aims to equip attendants of the course with computer skills that enable them to keep accurate records electronically. This allows them to manage their data for daily transactions, manage employees better, and improve customer relations as well as acquire techniques on how best to manage their cash flow and plan for business expansion through bank financing. The course is in partnership with Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and TechnoServe.
