Abstract:
The goal of this article is to provide a review of literature related to location based mortgages (also known as Location Efficient Mortgages or Smart Commute mortgages). The article focuses on three specific objectives: provide an in depth review of the location based mortgages program in the context of land use planning; analyze the relevancy of location based mortgages as a TDM strategy; and present an overview of alternative implementation strategies.
