Abstract:
The findings of the study showed that communication focal persons within the United nation agencies in Nairobi are very familiar with the trending social media platforms. united Nations agencies utilized various trending social media to some extent. The results of the study showed that a high percentage of respondents indicated that resource mobilization could be effectively conducted through social media and gave their opinions on how they perceived this to be done. The study concluded respondents were very familiar with the various trending social media platforms. However, the extent of organizational utilization of social media was mainly limited to Twitter and Facebook in comparison to other social media platforms.
