dc.description.abstract United States International University-Africa has unveiled a state-of-the-art student facility designed to concentrate student services and recreational facilities under one roof. The facility has a cardio room, a strength training room, a medical centre and a gymnasium. The landmark 77,120 square feet building, commissioned on February, 2015 at Sh735 million, will play host to a health centre, new counselling centre, meeting rooms, dean of students and registrar offices. The Freida Brown Student Centre, named after the university’s former Vice Chancellor, has four floors and a basement and will also house a cafeteria, ideation room, research centre, career placement and television rooms that will serve over 6,500 students enrolled in the university pursuing different degree programmes. en_US
