dc.description.abstract The concept of Learning Organisation formulated by Senge [1990]is one in which people at all levels individually and collectively are continually increasing their capacity to produce results they really care about .Such organisations create a set of values such as commitment to the truth and ability to foster inquiry as well as advocacy ,that is inherently more conducive to environments for learning. Flexi Consultants Limited is tax consultancy and advisory firm that has a mandate to inform, educate and assist the business community on their obligations and legal rights as far as tax and accountancy matters are concerned.Their services range from tax consultancy to book keeping services. The main problem this research sought to address was the application of theory of learning organisational FCL’s management activities .It sought to analyze the management being employed and to establish the extent to which the learning organisation concept systems are implemented and practiced within the organisation . The general objective therefore was to analyse the extent to which the concept of the Learning Organisation was practiced in FCL’s current management style. The justification of this research was that without a proactive and cohesive corporate strategy, an organisation would cease to exist in today's turbulent environment. The methodology of the research design used was descriptive .The data collection methods used were both primary and secondary data .The data collection instruments used were both structured and unstructured questions, which were administered using questionnaires of FCL’s management and employees .Checklist were also used as part of a focus group discussion .The research project was undertaken in a period of four months. The key findings included existence of a shared vision within FCL, a low level of team learning, inter-connectedness and inter dependency and generalization and a limited level of personal mastery. The major recommendation of this research include transfer of knowledge throughout the organisation ,creating an enabling environment within the organisation for learning ,appraisal and revision of current mental models ,encourage team building exercises and formulation and implementation of a shared vision among the management and employees of FCL. en_US
